Here at Chippindales we pride ourselves on our rich history. We have been good eggs since 1930 and here is a brief description;
1930’s
Leonard Chippindale introduced poultry to the family farm – hatching chicks, keeping hens and selling eggs.

1950’s
A move towards larger scale pullet rearing was made by Ian Chippindale (Leonard’s son).
1970’s
Ian Chippindale moved into egg production and invested in small scale packing facilities.
1980’s
Initial relationships were started with free range producers. Today, Chippindale continue to work with many of
these farmers.
1995
Major investment into new egg production facilities at Kingsley Farm was lead by Nick Chippindale (Ian’s son)
1999
First of several independent orders with major retailer.
2002
Continued expansion and modernization of the packing operation.

2005
www.wheresyoursfrom.com was launched to help bridge the gap between consumers and producers.
2006
The “White Rose Packing Centre” was opened by 4 generations of the Chippindale family.
British Egg awards 2007 Small Enterprise of the Year.
2008
Creation and development of a bespoke traceability system and ‘live’ database.
2009
Nick Chippindale awarded a Nuffield scholarship to study ‘The EU ban on conventional cages and its effects’.
2010
ISO 9001 certification and launch of the new Chippindale consumer brand.

2011
Agreements reached for new colony egg productions with new and existing producer partners, in line with the
2012 EU legislation of hen welfare.
2012
New 6 wheeler refrigerated lorry added to our fleet.
Investment in growth, we completed the purchase of a new site in Flaxby for future relocation of operations.
